Wood Wall Art

July 26, 2015 ·

This is a super simple wall art idea that is really fun to do! And it is real wood (well, balsa wood) so it does not require any type of saw to create! A perfect Sunday afternoon project if I say so myself! And it also has just a little bit of dimension – something fun and unique!woodwallart_1

    Materials

  • Canvas or foam board //
  • Paint //
  • Scissors //
  • Glue //
  • Balsa Wood

1. Paint your canvas or foam board any color you want.

2. While the paint is drying, start to cut out geometric shapes from the balsa wood. I choose to do arrow but any shape would do! I cut 20 total:

3. Once the paint is dry, glue to the wood shapes to the board in whatever pattern you want. I did alternating rows and directions:

I really love the look of this one its own, on a shelf, hanging on the wall or part of a wall gallery. woodwallart_3
