So you have a toddler with dirty blonde hair and barely any of it, so what do you make her for Halloween?? Famous 1960’s model Twiggy of course! Is she not a dead ringer?!
I love when I come up with costumes that also provide me with clothes that can be worn outside of Halloween! That’s what I call a win-win. This costume definitely fits that bill, a simple mod-style dress perfectly conjures up some of the most iconic Twiggy photographs and can be used for daily wear!
I found this perfect pink dress at Gap Kids, honestly they had several cute toddler girl dresses that had a 1960’s vintage feel to them and would be perfect for a Twiggy costume. Finding a simple pink dress for a baby isn’t too difficult to matter where you look though.
The tights are from Target, the silver Mary Jane shoes are from Babies R Us and the headband is just a thin elastic with disco ball clip on earrings dangling from it. I found those at a Halloween store.
I mentioned previously that this costume of Stella’s doesn’t match my Halloween costume this year but it totally does! Disco ball earrings, disco ball. Matching.
I discovered that distracting Stella with a cake was the best way to get her to leave those earrings on :D And boy did that cake turn our night around. It’s shockingly tiring trying to snap photos of toddlers, let alone while you’re trying to get non-blurry shots of their clothes against a certain backdrop! So I felt like that cake was a fair trade. And the way she perked up for the next couple hours says that she did too!
