Look at us, big ol’ 26 year olds! And what changes this year has brought! It’s definitely been one of my favorites. But even if the rest of the year would have been no good, this last weekend would have made up for it! It. Was. So. Much. Fun.
Lucky for us, Malissa flew all the way across the country to be with us. Stella and I LOVED it! Seriously, Stella gives Auntie Malissa the biggest smiles!
We spent days just hanging out, laughing hysterically and doing our favorite things like running together, breathing in autumn and eating candy. On the first day we were lucky enough to have two of our oldest friends {and two of the most delightful people you’ll ever meet} come meet us at the Harvest Festival at Thanksgiving Point. It rained all day but we couldn’t have cared less! We laughed and laughed and apparently had so much fun we forgot to capture a picture of all of us together, oops!
The next day we threw a little birthday party with our family, stay tuned for the post with all the details!
We of course enjoyed lots of food. I still have most of it sitting in my fridge :) Stella got most of her naps on the go and I could tell she was worn out by today! She stayed a little sweetie the whole time though.
Malissa and I stayed up till well past midnight every night but it was especially fun to hang out together until it officially became our birthday and be the first to wish a happy one to each other just like when we were growing up. I remember setting our alarms so we could rush in to the other’s room right when it became our birthday. This time, we took a selfie!
We slept in a little each day too which was obviously great! But we usually have a hard time sleeping too much on our birthday and this year was no different! We woke up, surrounded ourselves with balloons and then when for a jog together. It was the perfect morning and we soaked up all the crispness in the air. Absolutely nothing beats fall, don’t you think?
At three o’clock we were ready for breakfast! Lol. We headed to cute little Eva’s Bakery on Main Street and got delicious lemon filled, blueberry topped french toast.
After a day of shopping, wandering the city and more food we hung out, just us two on the couches watching a movie until we both fell asleep there. That too was just like old times.
After grabbing breakfast Tuesday morning, we had to do the saddest thing and say goodbye. It is terrible every time and this was no exception. Many tears and a sad, lonely drive home were had. Luckily, we’ll see each other again in only 3 months for Christmas! I think I’ll get my countdown out now.
I just adore that cute twinny of mine. I’m so glad I get to share my birthday with her, it just wouldn’t be so wonderful if I didn’t.
This post literally made me smile, laugh, and cry, though I am a bit sleep deprived haha. I love my twin friends so much! This post was full of so much happiness and I’m so glad you had a spectacular birthday together!
Oh Heather we adore you beyond words! You’re the best ever! Love you!
