I shared a brief house tour last fall but thought that it would be fun to do an update! Since November I have incorporated a few of our DIY projects into my living room and we recently just bought two West Elm couches that I have to show off! And just a reminder that if this was not a rental there would be no carpet in sight! But I try and make do with what we have. :) We also painted the walls white and I like it so much more than the off-white color we had before. We discovered the trick to a good white color is to just use the base – don’t have them mix any shade of white if you want a true white color. Otherwise there will always be a tint of something else (blue, gray, purple, etc.) in your walls.
Remember this quick 5 minute update to our fireplace? The tutorial is here! I can’t decide if I love it but it has been up for months now so I guess I like it. What do you all think?
This side table is one of my favorite projects to date. Mainly because of the gorgeous hairpin legs from Modern Legs but I also really appreciate the extra bit of storage. Head here for the DIY. The lamp is also DIY and the clock is Anthropologie.
I made this little coffee table when Machelle and Stella visited me back in March. I think sometimes Greg really wishes we would just buy our coffee and side tables but in the end he lets me do what I want. And I think secretly he is glad that we don’t buy everything from West Elm or World Market.
I am by no means a painter or real artist so when I get my acrylics out it is for simple pieces like this fun geometric print that I did a little over two years ago.
This awesome mid-century gray couch is from West Elm! It is called Peggy and I love her.
This cute little blue couch is also from West Elm. It inspires me to sew pillows just because it makes such a cute backdrop.
I am so proud of our walls right now. No studs and they have been holding up these copper pipe shelves for months. Fingers crossed that lasts! Our dining chairs are new too and they are my favorite.
I haven’t decided if I like this gallery wall yet or not. It was actually just a product of me being bored with our decor one night and reorganizing frames we already had around the house (and spray painting my cardboard deer head gray). I think it is just missing a little bit of something but I don’t know what.
I still have not nailed down decorating this entryway table! In between holidays it is sort of just a hodgepodge of items.
