It’s always so fun to have an array of printable letters for any projects and home decor ideas you have! I find that I love to include our families initials within our decor. In fact I just realized today that Stella’s room has a decorative ‘S’ on literally every shelf in her built-in bookshelf (there’s five shelves….) which may be a little overkill…But I can tell you right now, there will be at least one more cus I haven’t printed one of these off for her yet and they match well in her room so I definitely will!
I have already included them in my bedroom, as see in our pillowcase post from Monday:
I’m really into the typographic decor look lately, especially when it has a really minimal feel, like these ones. It’s really just paying tribute to the fonts themselves rather than distracting with lots of other decorative elements. I just LOVE typography, don’t you? I remember when I was younger, like in high school, it was impossible to find free fonts so we never had ones we liked. In fact, when Malissa and I were the layout editors for our high school newspaper, we would create our own “fonts” in paint. And by fonts, I of course mean we just added fun little elements to the ones we already had. They were in no way actual fonts or even non-pixelated haha but they were fun! In reality though, I much prefer to just find what I already need online for free rather than make my own silly versions. And I just can’t believe how many we can find online these days!
One blogger I greatly admire who uses minimal typography decor like a pro is Only Deco Love, she finds lots of simple pieces that really compliment her Scandinavian style, the photos above and below are from her Instagram feed and will maybe give you some inspiration for how to use these free letters in your home or even just to style your photographs!
I have always been such a fan of the Scandinavian decor look and I’m so excited to be living in a home that now allows me to decorate that way. It simply did not go in our newer home we previously lived in, do you ever feel that way, that your decor needs to match your home, or is that just me? Maybe someone else could make it work but I just couldn’t see it! This home feels so much more “me” because I can decorate it the way I really love and its so much easier too!
I also love these letters at Urban Outfitters, which are a little more decorative but have the same sort of style. There’s only A and E left but check them out to give you some styling ideas but then use these free letters to do it :D
I created every letter in two different fonts and with reverse black & white background/foregrounds so hopefully they’ll work for you no matter what your word is! Also feel free to resize them and use for banners or in your photos (I’m thinking ‘one month’, etc in your baby’s progress photos!) Print them on cards, make gift tags, put them in frames or hand on clipboards or hangers like above. The possibilities are endless so have fun! Grab any one that you want at the end of this post.
