There is almost nothing better than fireworks on a summer night, which is why I think so many people just adore the Fourth of July. But the fireworks don’t need to just be in the sky, they can be all over your party decor, including in your cupcakes!
And these are so quick and of course use probably out all time favorite craft supply – paper straws! Read more for the how to!
- Materials
- Paper straws //
- Cardstock //
- Glue gun //
- Yellow tissue paper //
- Wood dowels/sticks
1. Cut your straw into thirds. Take some cardstock and role it into a little cone. Glue the cone together.
2. Glue it to the top of the straw.
3. Rip off a small section of yellow tissue paper and roll it inside the bottom of the straw. Use a glue gun to secure.
4. Take a small wooden dowel and glue it to the inside.
Stick these into your cupcakes! These would also be perfect on top a cake or in your soda. If I didn’t procrastinate my Fourth of July decorating this year I would have made a wreath or garland with these little rocket fireworks (next year!).
