Emojis. SO much better than the emoticons we had growing up (on instant messenger!) and some how so much more grown up. I thought it very fitting that my two favorite ones both contained hearts and decided that it would be the greatest thing ever to give out or serve at a valentine party or as valentines! Wrap them in a cellophane bag and give to all your friends to say that you are overcome by the cuteness that they are! “Valentine, there are no words..”
These were SUPER easy! One of my all time favorite treats, moon pies! were the perfect canvas. Yes, I am an old man and love moon pies an inordinate amount. I love all the flavors and both banana and lemon are the perfect color for these emoji treats! They can usually be found in gas stations and they can be ordered online right here. Even if you don’t want to order moon pies I seriously suggest visiting that site, its a really well designed site for the product!
To draw the faces on I used food color markers and they worked really well!
Just open up your phone and look at the emojis on your keyboard or open instagram and scan the comments or just search online to get something to copy! I am not a good sketch artist by any means and I had no problems. Plus the smooth surface of these moon pies allows you to wipe up and reapply if needed.
I only used the two that contained hearts cus it’s the heart holiday! But this idea could be used as a fun favor for any party and just use the faces that suit your needs!
I think my eyes would turn to hearts if I was given one of these as a valentine! No card needed (that’s kind of the point of an emoji right??) but you could also quickly attach a tag or bag topper once these are wrapped in cellophane bags.
I just think moon pies are one of the happiest looking treats already, once they have actual smiling faces, they’re pretty darn charming.
What’s your favorite emoji?? Or your most over-used one? *insert winking emoji here*
