I found these adorable Christmas doilies by Martha Stewart over a month ago and had forgotten about them until the other day when I happened upon them. They are just too cute to let the holiday season pass without using them! While there are tons of things to use doilies for, I thought that using them to dress up some plain cups would be fun!
These also can be used at any time but the mint and red are of course fitting for Christmas. I really think that gold doilies would look super pretty too!
- Materials
- Plain paper cups //
- Doilies //
- Glue stick //
- Scissors //
1.Take the doily and fold it in half and cut. This works great for a 4-8″ doily but if you have a larger doily just cut a few inches from the top!
2. Apply glue to the back of the doily and put it on the cup starting in the middle of the doily and then turning the cup and continuing to secure the doily.
3. The doily will join together like below.
4. There will be extra at the bottom so use scissors to cut off excess. You can choose how high or low you want the doilies to be – the red ones I placed a little bit lower and I really like that look too!
