DIY Custom Lollipop Sticks

April 8, 2014 ·

finished

Adding customization to your event is one way to make it memorable, and this quick, simple trick will do just that! With so many uses for lollipop sticks {ideas at the end of post} why not make yours a one-of-a-kind match for your party?!

    Materials

  • Lollipop sticks //
  • Tissue paper //
  • Scissors //
  • Glue //

Grab some sticks from the cake decorating section of any large retailer, craft or party store. I used these Wilton ones:

Gather your tissue paper, choose one or more that match your event.

tissuepaper

Cut into squares/rectangles about 3″ wide. The length will depend on how many sticks you are covering.

tissue squares

Cut each of these into 1″ increments.

Add glue to one edge of a tissue paper rectangle.

gluing

Apply rectangle to a lollipop stick.

glued

Apply glue to the middle and opposite edge.

Roll the tissue paper around the stick.

Your sticks are ready to use! Just make sure you put the edible stuff on the white end :)

What a cute idea to add something special to your treats. I bet you could even do this with washi tape.

Oh absolutely! Cutting up glassine treat bags, sheets, or cupcake liners would work too! So many options! :)
