Confetti POPper Father’s Day Cards

June 10, 2015 ·

Give Pop a confetti "pop"per card for Father's Day and tell him you love him even more than your favorite food! via A Joyful Riot

I think there are few things better than confetti poppers! In all shapes and sizes, they are just loads of fun and here at AJR we love to customize them for all our events! This craft though is especially perfect because it’s for your POP! Get it, POP?! Confetti POPpers for your POP??! Ok. Obviously you guy’s get it!!

When I think about men, I think about Ron Swanson. haha! While I sort of hope there isn’t a man alive exactly like him, I think he does signify a lot of the “manly” things we often think about. And when I think of Ron Swanson, I think of his love for food, especially meat and breakfast food. That’s what lead me to creating the breakfast food popper and then I decided to make four more versions so that there might be something perfect for everyone and their Pop!

So whether your favorite thing is waffles and syrup, donuts, ice cream, bacon or pie, we have a printable wrapper here for you and a whole bunch of matching confetti! Maybe you love all five things equally (I think I fall in to this category…) so go ahead, print them all out and give Dad multiple confetti poppers throughout the day! Ain’t nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think you might be Dad’s favorite child after this. You made it rain donuts and pie.

Confetti Popper Valentines

February 10, 2015 ·

IMG_6621Valentine confetti poppers! | A Joyful Riot

If I had to choose one party item to be my favorite, I definitely think I would choose confetti poppers! I also one time got a silly string machine gun thing that was pretty awesome. But I’d rather clean up confetti than silly string any day plus they’re also noisemakers and they have that dose of surprise cus you never know the exact moment they’re gonna blow!

I love all confetti poppers, they come in so many shapes and sizes, but these twisty ones are pretty great because you can reassemble them and keep on using them! This craft makes use of that and has you decorate them all Valentine-y!

I know I keep getting excited about all the Valentine ideas we have done here so far but really truly if someone gave me a confetti popper that shot out cupid’s arrow and a bunch of confetti, I think I would drop everything and make them my Valentine forever.

Firework Confetti Poppers

June 28, 2014 ·

I love party poppers! And I love making them holiday appropriate! For the upcoming 4th, disguise your poppers as patriotic fireworks with this easy DIY.

Supplies:

  • Party Poppers
  • Assorted papers in blues, reds and patriotic designs
  • Tape
  • Double sided tape (optional)
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors
  • Template

Gather your poppers and paper and cut out rectangles measuring 2.75″ x 4″ and cone pieces from the template, below.

Remove the foils from the poppers and tape the short end of the rectangle to it. *note: my photo shows the wrapper still on the popper but removing it will give better results. Then apply glue to the inside of the opposite side and roll it around the popper to secure.

1

Roll the cone making sure that the top is no smaller than the opening of the popper. Secure with tape. Either use double sided tape or glue along the top of the cylinder.

2

Then slide the cone onto the cylinder and enjoy your festive confetti streamer shooters!

DIY Confetti Blowers

September 28, 2015 ·

DIY confetti blowers with a free celebration paper pack (confetti, glitter, scallops!) ajoyfulriot.com @ajoyfulriot

Every birthday needs confetti! That’s like a law right? Well it is in our house! I love all kinds of confetti poppers and they’re super easy to find and cheap to pick up so that’s always a fine way to go (plus you can dress those up super festive with these free popper wrappers!) but this year I decided to make the confetti a little more interactive and personal and whipped up these super simple (and even cheaper than poppers!) confetti blower horns!

I’ve seen confetti wands (which I love) but these are even better because you can use any paper that matches your event and we’ve included a free pack of four cute and party-perfect digital papers for you for free! Featuring bright colors, glitter, scallops and confetti, use these papers for anything from these poppers to gift wrap to invitations to party hats!

You can hand these poppers out to guests and everyone can blow confetti all over the place! It’s like party horns except no annoying noise (win!) and then confetti everywhere (another win!) and then everyone can keep a cute little paper horn and fill it with candy from the party or make mini party hats from. So many possibilities! Click through for instructions and the free printable. And feel free to follow me around with these all day tomorrow :D

Pop Tart Cake Toppers

February 24, 2015 ·

Cut letters and numbers from pop tarts for colorful and edible cake decorations! | A Joyful Riot

A while ago I was eating a pop tart and I looked at it and thought “this is adorable.” They’re covered in frosting and colorful confetti-like specks and I decided it looked very party-ish so I wanted to find a way to incorporate it into a birthday other than just serving pop tarts on a plate (mmm not so cute..)

These cake toppers are perfect because they’re not only colorful and cute but they’re edible which is basically the best thing you can add to a cake!
